Welcome to GeroCentral!

This website is a collaborative effort between the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Division 12, Section II: Society of Clinical Geropsychology (12/II) and Division 20: Adult Development & Aging, along with the Council of Professional Geropsychology Training Programs (CoPGTP), Psychologists in Long Term Care (PLTC), and the APA Committee ON Aging (CONA) to bring together available resources for geropsychology training, service provision, policy, and research, including online assessment of geropsychology competencies, in a central internet location.  Learn more about these organizations and how to join!

GeroCentral is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all available geropsychology resources, but rather essential resources for those working with older adults.  We also hope to highlight what is missing from available resources and collaborate to develop them.

This website will be a continual work-in-progress, as there are new resources available every day.  If there are resources that you believe should be included on the GeroCentral website or would like to provide constructive feedback about the site, please CONTACT US.  Note that we are not currently accepting advertising on this website.

Thank you!

We are grateful to APA’s Committee on Division/APA Relations (CODAPAR) for an interdivisional grant and each of the partner organizations for their generous support in developing this website.  We are also grateful to the wonderful team of psychologists and trainees who participated in the development of this site!  Last, but certainly not least, we are very grateful to Bonnie Palmer of [sol]intermedia, and Phil Tiburcio for their many hours of web development and consultation.
