APA Division 20 maintains a list of all graduate geropsychology programs

Council of Professional Geropsychology Training Programs maintains an archive of undergraduate and graduate course descriptions and syllabi.

The Council of Professional GeroPsychology Training Programs also provides an annually updated listing of doctoral, internship, post-doctoral, and post-licensure member programs that provide substantive geropsychology training consistent with the Pike’s Peak Training Model. Although not an exhaustive listing of all opportunities to work with older adults, member programs who are listed have dedicated staff and other resources directed toward geropsychology training.

The Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards operates a credentialing data bank, which is a part of its mobility function. ASPPB offers the compilation of credentials free to students and trainees. The service includes original source verification. When the student needs to use the information, for purposes like applying for licensure, there is then a fee, as well as there is a fee to obtain the Certificate of Professional Qualifications (CPQ)–the ASPPB certificate accepted by most states when applying for licensure in another jurisdiction. Students should contact ASPPB to access and establish a data bank to begin documenting degrees, practica, internship supervision, etc.  Creating the data bank in “real time” can go a long way to make one’s early career progression much less stressful.
